I have a question to ask you but before I ask, I’d like to give you some background.
First, you, along with tens of thousands of others who have used The Lefkoe Method, have sent me many hundreds of testimonials about the incredible results you’ve gotten from eliminating one of the common beliefs on the free program, from one of our DVD or streaming video programs, or from one-on-one sessions. Thanks for taking the time to do that. We at Lefkoe Institute are inspired each day by your messages.
But some of the most profound testimonials we’ve received have come from people who’ve taken one of the four courses we’ve offered on how to dissolve your occurrings. If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you’ve read one of my posts about how the single most powerful thing you can do to improve the quality of your life is to learn how to dissolve your occurrings. If you don’t know much about it, check out this short (12 minute) video that will explain it in detail. http://occurringcourse.com/occurring-works/
Essentially, you and I give meaning to events as they happen (which is how they “occur” for us) and don’t realize that there is a difference between the actual events and the occurring. For example, our spouse asks us: Did you do so-and-so for me? That is the actual event, in other words, what actually happened. For many of us, however, it would occur as either: He/she doesn’t trust me to do what he/she has asked. Or, why won’t he/she get off my back and leave me alone! Or, why should I do it; why doesn’t he/she do it him/herself? Etc.
And because we don’t distinguish between reality and our occurrings, we assume that our occurrings are reality and we respond as if they are.
I’ve learned so much during the past four courses about why we have occurrings, how to distinguish between them and reality, four different techniques to dissolve them quickly and easily, why it is more difficult to dissolve them when you have strong emotions, how to be able to do that when in the grip of strong emotions, why the testimonials from people in the occurring courses seem to be more profound than people who’ve only eliminated beliefs, etc.
Please tell me what you would like to know about occurring? I’ll either write a blog post or make a short video that answers the most commonly asked questions.
P.S. Thanks to the 80+ people who commented on my last blog post. Thanks for taking the time to provide a thoughtful response and for your suggestions. We are looking into how to implement some of the most popular recommendations. We will definitely offer a training in the next few months to teach you how to eliminate a belief once you’ve identified it.
If you haven’t yet eliminated at least one of your limiting self-esteem beliefs using the Lefkoe Belief Process, go to http://www.recreateyourlife.com/free where you can eliminate one negative belief free.

Hi Morty,
Thanks for pointing me to your post about the topic of “positive” beliefs. You have an approach to personal development (if you wanna call it that) that I’ve never seen anyone take before.
I’m an avid fan of TLM, and I use it as often as possible. In fact, I often wonder if you’re the only person on the planet who really understands how to change behavior for good (I’ve tried almost every imaginable process for change but nothing has “stuck” like TLM).
That said, even though I love experiencing myself as the creator of my life (as outlined in the WAIR process), I still wonder if it might not be valuable to be able to install “positive” beliefs in certain situations (if such a thing is possible).
For example, I’d like to significantly increase my income. I’ve identified and eliminated just about every belief/condition in this area I can think of – including all the ones in the natural self confidence course and the “bust your abundance beliefs” package.
Yet, when I picture myself taking the necessary steps to make more money (such as starting a business), I still experience resistance. As a result I don’t take any action.
The predominant thought that pops into my head is “that stuff (making alot of money) may work for other people, but there’s no way it’s going to work for me.”
The predominant emotion is one of discouragement/disappointment.
I can’t help but think the solution is to “install” positive beliefs about my ability to increase my income. Do you disagree? Is there probably something else I haven’t identified that is blocking me from going for it (and getting it)?
Thanks for your help,
-Brandon Jones
Hi Brandon,
You say you believe: that stuff (making alot of money) may work for other people, but there’s no way it’s going to work for me.”
That is a negative, limiting belief. It is not a positive belief you want to install.
In any case, I’m not sure how to install a new belief that you really will believe and that will affect your emotions and behavior.
Also, re: making money, there are a lot of other factors involved in getting money other than beliefs so don’t rest all your hopes on forming a positive belief.
Thanks so much for your interest in our work.

Hi Morty,
The main question I have has to do with positive occurings. I have a pretty good idea how to dissolve negative occurings and beliefs thanks to your processes. But, I’d like to know more about how to create positive beliefs/occurings if such a thing is possible. I understand the value of not attaching any meaning to events but there are certain areas of my life I’d like to improve – and it seems like in order to do so, I not only have to eliminate the negative beliefs surrounding the area, but also create positive ones. Perhaps you can elaborate since you know these subjects so well.
Thanks,
Brandon Jones
Hi Brandon,
We don’t think it necessary or even advisable to create positive beleifs. See my blog post on this topic: https://www.mortylefkoe.com/010510/
In our Occurring Course we teach you how to create positive meanings to current events, but, while that can sometimes be useful, most of the time it is not.
Thanks for your interest in our work.

Thanks Morty, I appreciate your response.
Hi Morty,
I am a bit late getting to this question. I don’t have a question about “occurring”. I’m curious to know if you encourage people to distinguish between reality and “positive occurrings” along with negative ones as part of the workshops you lead? Is the idea to dissolve all “occurings”?
Thanks,
Michael
Hi Michael,
You can hold onto positive occurrings if you’d like, but you still should know they aren’t reality.

You know what Morty? I examined my thoughts about this issue and realized I had the belief: “Before proceeding I have to understand everything”.
I just eliminated it, and my concern with taking the occurring course is gone. I’m very glad I know how to use the LBP, it’s been really useful to me since I learned to use it recently. Still, I’m obviously not nearly as good as a certified facilitator.
Do you think I can work for you from home? I can give TLM consultations on Skype in both English and Spanish. I just need training.
Hi Alex,
Thanks for the offer.
The people who get certified are trained first and then undergo a certification process.
AT present we don’t need any more facilitators but you certainly can take our next training if you’d like to learn how to use the Lefkoe Belief Process.
Thanks for your interest in our work.

Hi Alex,
I don’t know what you believe that makes you feel the way you do.
But no one in the course has ever eliminated ALL their limited beliefs before taking the course, including me. There are always new beliefs to be found and eliminated.
Actually, distinguishing your “occurrings” is the best way I know of to be able to identify the beliefs that have the biggest negative impact on your life.
Love, Morty
I have already asked you this question before Morty, and I don’t even have the money to join an occurring course so I guess it doesn’t even matter, but I’m really curious about one aspect of the occurring course and I want to understand it clearly:
Let’s say I master the ability to dissolve my occurrings and dissolving them becomes automatic. Once that happens, I will live in a state of peace where it’s as if I didn’t have any limiting beliefs. After that point, the further elimination of any beliefs would be redundant, except for preventing the same negative occurrings from arising over and over. That part I understand.
What I don’t understand, however, is why I have this fear: I’m afraid to take an occurring course before eliminating the limiting beliefs I have (not all of them of course, but the ones that complicate my life the most). I think it’s because I believe that people come out of those courses so clear-headed that they can’t detect their hidden subconscious beliefs anymore (which shouldn’t matter, because they don’t need to, but I personally feel I need to).
I don’t even know how to express my predicament, but it’s just a fear that it’s not a good idea to do the occurring course without finding and eliminating my limiting beliefs about money, life, etc beforehand.
Does this make sense? I know that there’s no reason to eliminate beliefs once you master the ability to dissolve occurrings, but I just feel like I HAVE to eliminate them before taking the course. Now that I think about it, maybe I have beliefs that make me feel like I have to do it this way, ha ha. Maybe I have a belief that makes me want to do things a certain way. A belief about completing absolutely everything on a task list or something similar… hmm, interesting. What do you think Morty?
I believe managing the state of mind is paramount here because you may have a lot more negative belief’s then you believed that you had.
When stress begins to take it’s toll it becomes easy for the mind to revert back to old belief’s. Managing your thoughts, your body, and your life through self-discipline will be a big step in the right direction.
I’ve not been successful at eliminating a problem having to do with self-worth. When I am triggered and jjudgements and self critisim arises my mind can spiral into old negative thinking beliefs. If I stay present and in the moment it helps or if I ask myself if my thinking (belief) is true I can sometimes shift out of that thinking track after resolving (in my mind) that it is a false belief. But how on earth do you get rid of these negative beliefs permanently when they seem to be imbedded in cellular structures of the body as well as the mind?
Hi Mary,
The beliefs are not embedded in cellular structures of the mind and body. The Lefkoe Belief Process is able to permanently eliminate beliefs in about 20 minutes.
If you haven’t tried our free belief-eliminationprogram, to to http://recreateyourlife.com.
This process is very different from the Lefkoe Occurring Process that I teach in the Occurring Course.
Low self-worth is the result of having several negative self-esteem beliefs, which, when eliminated, totally changes one’s sense of oneself.
Love, Morty
Dear Morty, I appreciate you effort to help me, but in fact, nothing happens till now, I couldn´t change any limiting belief, I am afraid I am different and my problem is impossible to cure. Please help me
So many people including myself react to our belief’s about a situation, rather than the situation itself. How many people on this planet aren’t even aware that they are doing that.
I know about occurrings, but still find myself reacting to them, albeit not as much. If I am present and in my body I do not react to occurrings. If I am not present, then I will be more likely to react to the occurrings then the event itself. I guess it is a matter of staying grounded and present in the body as much as possible.
